Made with Arriba Nacional cacao beans from Hacienda Victoria in Ecuador, this 85% chocolate is surprisingly mild and not bitter at all. It has a lovely, creamy mouthfeel and soft, nutty flavour notes with a chocolatey aftertaste.

Hacienda Victoria is a 500 hectare cocoa plantation about 30 minutes from Guayaquil, with ideal climate and superb environmental conditions, along with a sustainable and socially responsible crop management that begins in their nursery and ends in the drying of beans after careful fermentation. Karl and Marina Hogarth have been perfecting their art down in Nelson for years, launching nationally back in December 2015. They have helped to put New Zealand firmly on the fine chocolate map by picking up several awards at the International Chocolate Awards and the Academy of Chocolate Awards.
