Alistair and Friederike Gower don’t just make chocolate, they make works of art. The only bean-to-bar chocolate maker based in Edinburgh, Scotland, their packaging is almost as beautiful as the taste itself. Opening each bar is like an early Christmas!
The Gowers ethically source organic cacao and are keen to preserve biodiversity. Using natural farming methods and avoiding pesticides is the only way to produce the finest quality cacao – it allows the midges to thrive and fertilize the cacao flowers, which then turn into pods. Who knew midges were so important?!
