What is A2/A2 milk?

“Traditionally, cows produced milk with A2/A2 beta-casein protein. Over time, a mutated A1 gene worked its way into dairy cattle. Cows today produce a combination of A1 and A2 proteins, creating a type of milk that is relatively new to the human body and may be more difficult to digest. We choose cows that while roaming our pastures only make A2/A2 milk. It’s most natural to the body and easily absorbed. You can trust that our milk is always 100% pure A2/A2. Since 1982, Fazenda Camboa has been owned and managed by Arthur Carvalho and Eduardo Carvalho. Through hard work and a strong commitment to sustainable cacao, the brothers have transformed Fazenda Camboa into the largest organic cocoa farm in the state of Bahia, Brazil.

The farms' current goal is to supply chocolate makers around world with the highest quality organic cacao from Brazil. To meet their goal, in 2013 the Carvalho brothers and Jack Bell, who is the son-in-law of Arthur Carvalho, partnered to establish Cacao Bahia as the exclusive global sales and marketing arm of the farm.

Cacao Bahia enables the farm to work and interact directly with the world’s top craft chocolate makers who value the farm’s commitment to producing the highest quality and most consistent cacao in the world while also enabling the farm to command premium pricing for its cacao.

Dick Taylor was founded in 2010 by Adam Dick and Dustin Taylor. They are small batch bean to bar craft chocolate makers specialising in single-origin two-ingredient chocolate.

By using some of the best cacao in the world, Dick Taylor are able to eliminate the use of fillers in their chocolate (like added cocoa butter, soy lecithin or vanilla), which lets the true flavours of the cacao shine through.

Using the finest cacao and traditional European techniques, all of their chocolate is carefully crafted from the bean in their small factory in Northern California.
