Arising from the mists of Ecuador’s last pacific cloudforest, Mache Chindul, the old Arriba cacao trees of our farmers have long offered shelter to rare species, like silky forest frogs. Once a staple of Ecuador, rare Arriba beans are hard to find in this era of industrial cacaos. Thanks to Original Beans' intrepid 'Bean Team' no bean stays hidden, and importantly no frog is left unprotected.

This rare variety is entirely endemic to Ecuador, and if grown outside of the country it loses it's wonderful flavour profile.
