We started The Chocolate Bar because good chocolate deserved better shelf space.

Craft chocolate makers pour months into a single batch — sourcing traceable cacao, roasting and conching by hand, and refusing the shortcuts that let big brands print a bar a second. Most of that story never survives the trip to a supermarket shelf.

The Chocolate Bar exists to close that gap: we work directly with small-batch makers across New Zealand and abroad, and bring their bars, drinking chocolate, and gift boxes together in one place — with the story intact.

Every maker we stock is chosen, not just accepted. If we wouldn't give it as a gift ourselves, it doesn't make the cut.
