The cacao beans from Kingstan Kamuri's Manabu Plantation, near Port Moresby in Central Province, Papua New Guinea, are some of the Pacific's finest. This region grew a large volume of Cacao up until the 1980s when the market in Europe fell away. Now, a large amount of Cacao grows wild in the jungles!

Work has been done to establish plantations for the cultivation of fine flavour cacao, empowering local farmers to serve the craft chocolate market via open supply chain and earn a fair wage for their efforts and expertise.

Maker

Mike's interest in Chocolate Making evolved after a lifetime working as a Chef and Food Technologist. The science brain met the creative brain with great gusto and the secrets of Cacao were slowly revealed. After the family moved to Raglan on the West Coast, Raglan Chocolate was born in 2017, and is now sold around New Zealand, as well as in the local Raglan shops and monthly community market. 🤎⁠
